TO A GREAT WOMAN
So much love, compassion, knowledge, strength, and heart for Jesus to pray for all our souls each and every day Never to judge always to comfort. She taught me so much. Things from how to be a good husband and father, how to cook special dishes for the holidays and best of all keep Jesus first and all else will work its way out since it is all in his hands Let go of problems and let Jesus show you the way. We will all have a huge void from a women that was always there. Our lives must go on but we will truly miss you each and every day Til we meet again Thank you for everything! Please keep watching over us! Love you Mom!

Remembering my Mother (My Mother Theresa)

There was nothing my mother could not do.

She assembled furniture, painted walls, installed new floors, refinished the kitchen sink, etc.
Cooked, cleaned, advised, cried, loved, and helped everyone.

She raised 6 kids, on welfare, and we never knew we were poor.  And we had children in India we were supporting.  Six kids were never enough for her.  She always had to add morethat was love.
When she had foot surgery she stayed home with the kids and we learned to help wheel her around in a very large cart.  But she never learned to ride a bike and we tried to teach her between the buildings.

Swimming came later in life too.  At camp Algonquin (our vacation spot) she made it to the green Ribbon by floating on her back.  It was Red (blow bubbles) Yellow (jump up and down under the water) Green (float on your back) and Blue you had to actually swim across the pool.

She was innovative:
When she needed a new kitchen floor she installed one for the neighbor (learning all the time) and then made enough to pay for the materials for our new floor.

She took it upon herself to learn how to tailor a suit for John by using a book she took out from the local library.

When the girls needed dresses for a dance she was there showing us how to trace a pattern, pin it.  She would do the fitting and sewing for us.  I have many dresses that were handmade and at the time I was a bit embarrassed but she told me that it is always best to make your own and this way NO ONE ELSE will be wearing the same dress as you.

She took a college course on Art.  It was on Channel 11 and she watched it, did the assignment, took the tests and passed with a D.  She was proud of that D because it proved she would not fail at anything she attempted.  She got her GED and told everyone about it.  

She taught each of her 6 children how to cook, clean and take care of each other.  

She taught love, patience, caring and called a spade a spade.

She married the love of her life after she had kids.  She was able to find a man who would not only marry her but take on her 6 kids as his own.  What a wonderful gift she gave to each of us.

But if you ever gave her anything.anythingand someone else needed it she gave it to themsometimes in front of you.  But hey, that was mom.

When the grandkids started coming she transitioned into grandma without missing a beat.  She was always willing to listen and made the time to listen and PRAY for anyone who called her.  Complete strangers would call and she would listen and pray with them.  She gave comfort to many.

Teresa's gentle spirit has touched my life and our church has been illuminated

Mother you were my role model, hero and friend. My heart aches because I miss you and want you back on earth I know that is selfish. You have touched so many lives if not from personal interaction also by how you shone through your children. I am so glad God gave me to you. You are in the arms of Jesus and Dad. I love am miss you so very much until we meet again. I will continue to'Let go and let God.'

How sad I am to hear of your Mothers passing.  Teresa was such a lovely person always cheerful and smiling when you would see her in church  all of the time she taught Sunday School she blessed us all.  know this will leave a huge hole in all of your lives   God bless you all
