Torey Jackson Darnell Boone was born on December 3rd, 2007 to parents Tregg Boone and Kiosha Miller in Chicago, IL. He spent his beginning years in North Liberty, IA where he graduated from pre-school. He returned to Illinois to attend Ames Elementary in North Riverside for Kindergarten and 1st grade and Smyser Elementary in Chicago from 2nd grade through the completion of 5th grade.
Torey was a kind, caring, and energetic child who was well beyond his years. He was an advocate for love, positivity, and human equality. He enjoyed music of all kinds, dancing, and sports, especially football. Torey was a big history enthusiast and loved seeking knowledge about some of his favorite icons such as Martin Luther King Jr., Tupac, and Michael Jackson, just to name a few.
Some of his most memorable moments was his 1st grade talent show dancing to Michael Jackson, his All Star game win with his Portage Park baseball team, his 1st Pitch for the Chicago White Sox, and meeting his idol, Chance the Rapper.
Torey became ill in 2016 but with the love and support of his family and friends he was able to maintain a normal, happy life all while remaining an honor roll student. Eventually, his Father, Step-mother, Sister, and Grandmother, Jacqueline Boone, accompanied Torey in crossing everything off his bucket list throughout the last 3 years of his precious time here. This includes a trip to Disney World, The National African American Heritage Museum in Washington, D.C., an opportunity to have full access to the Chicago Bulls, Cubs, and Bears, and finally a trip to Memphis, TN to visit the National Civil Rights Museum.
Torey is survived by his Father, Tregg Boone, Mother, Kiosha Miller, Step-Mother, Yvette Boone, Sister, Khyli Harris, and a host of Grandparents, Great-Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
