I remember Valerie as a very shy and loving lady. We met at then Rosary College now Dominican University. Valerie would often visit Monica W. in the dorms. Since I spent a great deal of time with Monica I would sit in on their conversations. Valerie had a wonderful infectious laugh and enjoyed Monica’s sense of humor, her musical talent and her story telling.
I learned that Valerie majored in French and worked very hard on her studies. She would spend countless hours in the library.
I personally will remember her quiet demeanor, sincerity of heart and beautiful smile to all.
May God rest her soul.
With sympathy,
Lynda Greco Flannery

I knew Valerie while she lived in Florida and helped her with her move back home to the place she loved, Chicago. Valerie had a kind heart and will be dearly missed. Valerie may you Rest In Peace and be reunited with your Parents in heaven.

Valerie was truly unique and a bit mysterious - she had a way of tilting her head with a knowing smile letting you know that she was in the moment with you, no matter what you were saying or doing! She and I were French majors together at Rosary College/Dominican University and she studied hard trying to perfect her French grammar and accent. Although we had relatively little contact after graduation (just at reunions and a few gatherings here and there), she was always interested in being part of the group and sharing the memories of our earlier times together. She will be missed by those who knew her!

I will miss seeing Valerie's smiling face at all of our Rosary College/Dominican University reunions, having also enjoyed her company for four years as a fellow member of the Class of 1975. May she rest in peace for eternity in God's loving embrace, and live on in our memories for the rest of our lives.

Valerie and Judy Hansel and Marianne Daniels and I would pal around together. We would go to German restaurants in Chicago, and go to the Opera's at the Chicago Opera House. We even went to her parents home for nice after dinner drinks and desserts. Very quiet gal, very friendly. May you find peace with God's angels.

I went to Rosary College with Valerie. She was always happy and never had a bad day or bad word about anyone.

She was a very brilliant woman who did anything to help others

She will be missed greatly

I knew Valerie in college. She worked very hard on her courses. She was a kind person, never mean in any way. She met lifes' challenges with integrity and grace. I'm sure that God loves her very much. Bless you Valerie!
