Vanna Tu Ly

Born on October 4, 1972, in Vietnam, Vanna immigrated to the United States in 1979 and grew up on the north side of Chicago, a city that became her home.

Vanna dedicated 29 years of her professional life to AT&T, where she worked as a Project Manager, where her dedication and professionalism earned the respect of her colleagues.

Above all, Vanna will be remembered for the person she was. She was kind, loving, and generous, always carrying a warmth that touched the lives of those around her. She had a genuine appreciation for life's simple pleasures, especially traveling, shopping, exploring new places and cultures, and sharing a good meal. She had a particular love for Thai food and never passed up an opportunity to enjoy it with the people she loved.

Vanna shared 19 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Jeffrey Jung. Together, they made their home in Mount Prospect, Illinois, where they built a life filled with love, laughter, companionship, and treasured memories. Their years together were filled with shared experiences, travels, and the simple joys of everyday life. Vanna will forever hold a special place in Jeff's heart, and her love and presence will be deeply missed.

Vanna is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jeffrey; her father, Hai Ly; her mother, Bia Lai; her sister My, her nephews James Paul and Lukas; her sister Mary (Sonny); and many extended family members and friends.

Though Vanna's time with us was far too short, the love she gave, the kindness she shared, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be forever loved and never forgotten.

A Visitation honoring Vanna will be held on Friday November 13, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Ave Chicago, IL 60625. Followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Family and friends are invited to come together to remember Vanna, celebrate her life, share memories, and honor the love and kindness she brought into the lives of so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Vanna's honor to the American Cancer Society. Your generosity and support will help continue the fight against cancer and serve as a meaningful tribute to Vanna's memory.
