Waleria Jurkowska, age 83, of Chicago, was born in Poland on November 2, 1938, and went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2021. Waleria was the most beloved wife of the late Hilary Jurkowski; most loving mother of Hilary (Teresa) Jurkowski, and Roman (Jolanta) Jurkowski; adoring grandmother of Mateusz Jurkowski, Hilary Jurkowski, Yvette (Samer Ihmoud) Jurkowski, and Aleksander Jurkowski; most adoring great-grandmother of Aleem Ihmoud; dear daughter of the late Piotr & Stefania Matus; cherished sister of seven; adoring aunt; caring cousin; and fond friend of many. Waleria was a devoted teacher in Poland for 27 years and 12 years in Chicago at Saint Ferdinand Polish Catholic School. Waleria will be missed by family friends and those whose lives she touched.
