I met Walt through my brother Ralph, his neighbor and good friend. He always had a wonderful smile and ready for a good cigar and conversation. He will be missed dearly and my thoughts and prayers are with his family. He was an angel on earth.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Sonny always had a smile on his face and kind words to say about everybody. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to Barb and family.

Everyone I talk to here at ADP keeps saying the same thing about our friend Walt - What a good guy.  Thanks for being such a good guy, Walt and making us a little better along the way.

Every time I would see Walt, I knew he would have a smile on his face and would have a laugh for you. He was a very kind person and someone I looked up to for direction and experience. My condolences to the family.

Barbara, I am sure you remember me, my husband Bud was in the hospital with Wally and battled cancer together. I am very sorry to hear about Wally's passing. He and Bud became good friends at Rush Hospital. They are now together up above and free of pain. As you know Bud passed away in December. May God help you to heal and give you peace.

I never met Walter but heard great things about him from Jill.  I work with Jilland Allison and want to offer our prayers and sympathies to the entire family.  God bless and keep you all.

Knowing what a close and loving family you are, I feel your pain at losing the patriarch of your family. He sure did love and adore his family.
Our hearts are filled with sadness at losing our treasured “Uncle Wally.”  He was such a big part of our family and our years in Chicago – so many good times filled with adventures, stories, fun and laughter;  so many fond memories.  “When someone you love becomes a memory; the memories become a true treasure.”  With a smile on our faces, we recall and truly treasure the many days we shared together. 

No greater tribute can be paid to a man than to have love, respect and admiration from from his family and many, many friend; those are the same tributes that he showed to everyone else.  

 Wally; you are genuinely loved and respected - you have a place in our hearts forever; you will be missed dearly.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Walt, my friendship with his son Jim is a certain testament to Walt's kindness and spirit.  My thoughts and prayers are  with you all on this saddest of days.

Walt was such a nice man.  He always had a smile on his face and a few minutes to stop and ask me about my family.  So sorry to hear.

Walt was a great neighbor and especially a great friend of ours. He was always there willing to help out in any way he could. This summer and all the ones to come will not be the same without the Mayor of Victoria Street around to have fun with.
