Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Wendy Peele (Ziemann), who left us on May 28, 2026 at the age of 59. She was a radiant source of love, resilience, and compassion for everyone who knew her.
Born on October 10, 1966 in Chicago, IL, Wendy grew up with a passion for building memories with friends. She went on to create a beautiful life, pursuing a career in banking and dedicating her time to those she loved. She spent her happiest moments playing cards, browsing Facebook, and people watching. She will be remembered for her caring nature.
Her greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Peele, daughter, Amy Ziemann (Michael Howell), and three grandchildren, Laylah, Amayah, and Maliah. She is also survived by her siblings, Gary Hawkins (Julie), Rick Ziemann (Erica), Laura Amstadt (Robert), and Tracy Shea and nieces and nephews Ann Sallese (Chris), Lisa Hawkins, Ashley Shea, Keith Hawkins, and Jessica Amstadt. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Richard and Barbara Ziemann. Her legacy of kindness and strength will live on through the generations she nurtured.
A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Drake & Son Funeral Home in Chicago, Illinois. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a chapel service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come share their favorite memories and honor her beautiful spirit.
