It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, son, brother, and hero, Wilfredo Rodriguez, who left us far too soon at the age of 47. Wilfredo “Willy” Rodriguez, dedicated 25 years of his life serving as a Firefighter for the City of Chicago.
Born to Miguel Rodriguez Zuniga and Alice B. Flores, Wilfredo was raised with strong values and a deep sense of responsibility which he carried with him throughout his life. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the people he saved, and the love he gave so freely. We will miss him every day but find comfort in knowing that he is now watching over us from above.
He was known not only for his bravery but also for his infectious humor, his warmth, and his handsome smile that could light up any room. Wilfredo had a unique ability to make everyone around him feel safe, loved, and cared for. He was the most protective person, fiercely devoted to his family and friends.
