Following an inurnment at St Adalbert Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums, 6800 North Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, IL 60714.

Majka, Zofia (Sophie) nee Golonka of Chicago, IL passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024 at the age of 92 years. She was born in Zaborow, Poland and moved to Chicago in 1966. She is preceded in death by her husband Wladyslaw Majka. Lovingly remembered by daughter Josephine (John) Gulik, sons John (Ada) Majka, Chester (Joan) Majka, and Alexander Majka; grandchildren Michelle (Gary) Bianzon and Eric (Jodi) Gulik, great-granddaughters Avery Bianzon, Sophie Gulik, Audrey Gulik and many loving family members in Poland including sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Best remembered for her unwavering Catholic faith, love for shopping and fashion, lotto tickets, and deep love and devotion to her family.

Visitation will be at Malec & Sons Funeral Home on 9/5/2024. Mass for Catholic Burial at St Hyacinth Basilica on 9/6/2024 with inurnment at St Adalbert Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums
