Ce 3 novembre 2018, est décédée subitement à l’âge de 58 ans et 7 mois Mme Sara Tremblay, fille de Mme Françoise Desbiens et de feu M. Pierre Tremblay, conjointe de M. Pierre Cardinal. Elle enseignait et chorégraphiait le ballet classique et la danse jazz, en plus d’assumer la direction générale et artistique de l’Académie de Ballet du Saguenay depuis 1993 et présidente du réseau d’enseignement de la danse du Québec depuis 2005. Mme Tremblay a entrepris sa formation en danse classique en 1966 à l’Académie de Ballet du Saguenay, avec Milenka Niederlova. Son apprentissage s’est poursuivi au Saguenay, à Montréal et à New York, où elle a été reçue comme boursière dans plusieurs institutions importantes. Elle a étudié avec Jacqueline Lemieux, Érika Janes, Élaine Werner, Georges Montague, William Thompson, Eddy Toussaint, Michel Martin, Alain Ferrier, Manon Larin et Lynn Simonson. Sa carrière de danseuse professionnelle a pris son envol en 1978 à New York, où elle a participé à plusieurs spectacles des chorégraphes Lynn Simonson (Uncompany) et Laurie De Vito. Bien que son travail sur scène ait été apprécié et reconnu, Mme Tremblay était attirée par l’enseignement. À partir de 1976, elle a donc suivi de nombreux stages, formations et certifications à la Royal Academy of Dancing, à l’Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, à l’École supérieure de ballet du Québec, à l’Université du Québec à Chicoutimi et au Ballet national du Canada, entre autres. Du début des années 80 à 2007, elle s’est continuellement perfectionnée auprès de Lynn Simonson, ce qui faisait d’elle l’une des plus grandes expertes de la philosophie et des principes d’enseignement de la Technique Simonson au Québec. Cette reconnaissance lui a valu des invitations régulières pour enseigner la technique jazz, le ballet classique et la pédagogie de la danse à l’École supérieure de ballet du Québec, à l’Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, au Domaine Forget ainsi que dans de nombreux événements québécois consacrés au jazz. Les heures d’accueil sont le jeudi 8 novembre 2018 de 19h à 22h, vendredi le 9 novembre 2018 de 14h à 17h, de 19h à 22h. Samedi le salon sera ouvert à compter de 9h. Les funérailles auront lieu le samedi 10 novembre 2018 à 11h à l’église de St-Honoré et les cendres seront déposées au columbarium Gravel et Fils. Elle laisse dans le deuil : sa mère Mme Françoise Desbiens (feu Pierre Tremblay); sa sœur : Virginie Tremblay; son conjoint : M. Pierre Cardinal (feu Céline Côté) et son fils Pierre-Alexandre Cardinal. Sa belle-mère : Mme Claire Tremblay (feu M. Benoit Cardinal); ses beaux-frères et ses belles-sœurs : Mireille Cardinal (Daniel Hamelin), Guy (Line Lussier), Sylvain (Julie Tremblay), Dany et leurs enfants; les enfants de feu Yvon Fortin : Dominick Fortin (Guylaine Gaudreault), Véronick Fortin (Charles Bonneau). Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses oncles et tantes, cousins et cousines, parents et amis.
