Funeral services for Betty Jean Curtis, age 84 of Childersburg will be Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Childersburg Church of God with Rev. David Bearden officiating with burial to follow in Childersburg Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 1-2 PM. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 14 from 5-8 PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel, Sylacauga.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Curtis and Darren Curtis (Ellen); daughters, Marsha Ford (Jerry), Patricia Dianne Williams (Dannie Dale), and Ramona Schaetzle (Edmund); sister, Glenda Brown; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Gene Curtis; mother, Sadie Wilkerson; father, Albert Gable; siblings, Joyce and Bloyce Gable, Annie Ruth Gable, Albert “Buddy” Gable, Robert Gable, Billie “Sis” Wilkerson, Margaret Riddlespur; daughter, Donna Russell (Robert) and great grandson, Cody Bailey.
