James Howard Connell

Funeral service for James Howard Connell, age 80 of Sylacauga, will be Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams and Rev. Mark Deason officiating. Visitation to be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 12-2p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Howard Connell was a member of the U.S. Army for 3 years and was owner of Connell Cleaners for over 20 years. He is preceded in death by father, Sam Connell and mother, Laura (Mimi) Connell; brothers and sisters: J.E. Connell, Marie Trussell, Leonard Connell, Mildred Mims, Daniel Connell, and J. Reed Connell.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathy Connell; daughter, Kim Douglas; son, Greg Connell and wife Windy; Grandchildren, Tiffany Hale, Amanda Connell, Jamie Trussell, and Morgan Connell ; and seven great grandchildren.
