Funeral service for Jimmie Roland Spates, age 87, of Sylacauga will be Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2PM at Providence Baptist Church in Harpersville with Bro. Timothy Spates, Adam Spates and Colton Spates officiating. Burial will follow in Harpersville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 at the church.

Mr. Spates passed away on March 29, 2018 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by brothers: Alvin and Roosevelt Spates and sister: Betty Humphrey. He was faithful to his Lord and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Survivors are his wife: Mary Joyce Spates, sons: Randall Spates (Selena), Timothy Spates (Sheila), Rodney Spates, daughter: Teresa Curlee (Johnny), grandchildren: Corey Wilson, Haley Houston (Paul David), Adam Spates (Charli), Ashley Wilson, Brittany Spates, Bethany Spates, Lauren Hollingsworth (Houston), Colton Spates (Ashlyn), great grandchildren: Jordan Wilson, Daley Mims, Cade Wilson, Addison Spates, Ali Mims, JP Spates and Everly Hollingsworth.

Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel will direct the services.
