Going to miss Uncle John. He was a good man with a great sense of humor and fun to be around. So glad I was able to see and talk with him while in Alabama last week. RIP Uncle John.

so sorry to see you go, and so soon after dad and lou, we will miss you so much and will all try and take care of your bride since you wont be here too anymore. You were a great man, we all loved you.

John always took time with us when we were young. Some of the best memories I have of the family reunions in Goodwater were of the homemade ice cream John made on the back porch of the Nelson house.  Many times he would load all of us kids in the back of his pick up truck and ride us around all over those dirt roads and to the fire tower.  He was a real family man and I will always remember him fondly.

We will miss you Uncle John. Your memory will live on.

Sorry to hear about your loss. John was the greatest man I had the pleasure of meeting and will always remember the days we would stand and drink coffee at the Westover BP.
