Margaret Louise Brannon

Bon Air—Margaret Louise “Mima” Brannon, 81, born March 22, 1929, passed from this life at her residence on February 27, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jimmie T. Brannon; her parents, James W. and Lola Mae Chambless; and one brother, James Bunt. She is survived by her children, Jimmie (Jody) Brannon (Susan) of Moncks Corner, SC; Frank Brannon (Faye) of Childersburg; Patricia Williford, Bon Air; brothers, Douglas Chambless (Joyce), Childersburg; Paul Chambless (Joyce), Sylacauga; Jimmy Chambless (Glenda), Sylacauga; sisters, Mavis Sansing, Trussville; Cynthia Mae Hall, Bynum, AL; Jewel Dean Browning, Childersburg; her faithful friend/pet Roscoe, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She will especially be missed by Holden and Abigail Williford. She was an active member of Childersburg Church of God where she was President of the Ladies Ministry. She was winder hand in Bon Air Yarn Mills and Avondale Mills for over 50 years. She loved cooking cakes and pies for all her friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home in Childersburg; family from 5 until 5:30 with friends from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Childersburg Church of God with Bishop David Bearden and Bishop Louie Fincher officiating, with viewing one hour before service. Pallbearers will be Nolan Brannon, Jerry Brannon, John Whitworth, Steve Barnett, Norman Brannon, and Don Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers will be James Chambless, Roger Gambrell, and Billy Johnson. Burial will follow in Childersburg City Cemetery. Special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice and Nurse Clay for making our Mother’s last days peaceful.
