Maire Spivey - Childersburg - Funeral service for Marie Spivey, 91, will be Sunday, October 21 at 2:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Childersburg with Dr. John E. Beck officiating. Burial will be at Greenhill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Spivey died October 18, 2012 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She is preceded in death by husband, Paul J. Spivey; father, John Duffey; and mother, Dora Duffey Davis. She is survived by son, Wayne Spivey (Karen) of Childersburg; daughter, Melvye Rea Spivey Cooper (George) of Decatur; brother, Billy Lester (Margaret) of Childersburg; sister, Bennie Sue Ezekiel of Sylacauga; grandchildren, Stephanie Giles Hydrick (Woody), Jennifer Spivey, Paige Giles, Clay Spivey; 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, October 21 from 1-2:30pm at First Baptist Church of Childersburg. Pallbearers will be Jay Cobb, Eddie Slaten, Pete Haisten, Mack Lee, Jeff Duvall, Clay Spivey.
