Mrs. Mary Loudermilk Carpenter

Mrs. Mary Loudermilk Carpenter, age 52, of Childersburg, died Friday, August 27, 2010 at University Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Mrs. Carpenter was a member of the First Baptist Church of Childersburg, and was a loving wife and mother. One of her favorite hobbies was painting. She also enjoyed working with children, and for more than ten years worked with students at Watwood Elementary and Childersburg Middle School. She is survived by her husband, David Carpenter; two daughters: Beth Carpenter and Kim Carpenter, both of Childersburg; a sister, Sue Guy of Childersburg; a brother, Bobby Loudermilk of Birmingham; as well as 4 nieces and 1 nephew. Visitation for Mrs. Carpenter will be held at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Greenhill Memorial Gardens in Childersburg. Serving as pallbearers will be: Eddie Slaten, Chad Slaten, Steve Acklin, David Sims, Adam Loudermilk and Kenny Guy.
