Mary Frances (Wood) Murphree

Mrs. Frances was born on July 1, 1922 in Ragland, AL to William Lee (Josh) Wood and Una Wilson Wood. She was preceded in death in 1988 by her husband of 55 years Wallace W. Murphree and son, Wallace W. Murphree, Jr. in 1977, her parents and all six of her siblings.

She is survived by her daughters, Helen (Fred) Martin, Mary Jo (Steve) Whittle, and Ethelyn (Gary Brown). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Beth (Kurt) Martin, Marty (Jocelyn) Martin, Kathy Brown (Liz Schutt) and Christi Brown (Chayo Plata) and great-grandchildren, Nate, Baylor, Ella, Williams, Whitt, Lee, Izzy and Ozzy. She is also survived by her dear and caring friend, Barbara Miller and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 1:30 until 2:00 PM followed by a Memorial service and Celebration of Life at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Cropwell, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mt. Pisgah Memorial Fund, Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 100 Mt. Pisgah Drive, Cropwell, AL 35054.
