Ms. Mildred "Val" Bulger, age 86 of Childersburg passed away February 28, 2015 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, Childersburg with the Rev. Paul Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday, March 2 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel. Lie in state from 10-11 AM on Tuesday at the church.
Ms. Bulger is survived by her son Jay (Brenda) Bulger; daughter, Virginia Ann Young (Al) Bulger; Two sisters, Kaye Thompson of Owasso, OK and Gail Mitcham of Monroeville, AL; grandchildren, Sean Young, Zac (Jamie) Bulger, Brittney Young, Lane (Nichole) Bulger; and one great grandchild, Gracie Young.
Ms. Bulger was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Annie Mae and Oscar Hurt; husband, Milton D. Bulger and daughter, Memory Michele Bulger.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.
