Funeral service for Rodney Paul Brannon, age 69, of Bon Air will be January 3, 2017 at 11AM at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Kornegay and Rev. Matt Hilyer officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Mr. Brannon passed away on December 30, 2016 at Brookwood Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents: Dewey and Gladys Brannon and sister: Joyce Free. He was a member of the Greatest Church in heaven, his Lord and Saviors church. He loved to watch Alabama football with his daughter, was a simple man who loved God and will be greatly missed. He was born and raised in Bon Air and worked at Kimberly Clark for 47 years and with Greg Richardson for 5 years. Survivors are his wife Debbie Brannon and daughter Bethany Brannon who were his pride and joy, his brothers: Nolan Brannon (Sue), Wayne Brannon (the late Delilah) and Norman Brannon (Barbara). Pallbearers are Larry Ferg, Nick Ellison, Fred Ellison, Bo Brannon, Arby Hammonds and Carl Watts.
