Funeral service for Ronald Wayne "Buff" Blackerby, age 64, of Childersburg will be Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11AM at Calvary Baptist Church with the Reverend Paul Hickman Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. He was Retired from Kimberly Clark with 35 years of service. He served in the US Army In Vietnam. Buff was a charter member of The Crooked Creek Motorcycle Club. Devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and a friend to many. He was preceded in death by parents: U.V. Blackerby and Mary Tisdale; step-father: George Tisdale and brother-in-law: Bobby Goolsby. He is survived by his Wife: Delores Blackerby of Sylacauga, Son: Jason Blackerby & wife Jennifer of Childersburg, Daughter: Tracey Cummings & husband Steven of Childersburg, Brother: Charles Blackerby & wife Glenda of Childersburg, Sisters: Ruby Faye Goolsby of Columbiana, Cynthia Hawkins & husband Jimmy of Childersburg, Teresa Reynolds & husband Barry of Childersburg, step-mother: Katherine Blackerby, Grandchildren: Lauren Blackerby, Hannah Grace Blackerby, Kayla Wood and Kym Wood of Childersburg and Step-grandchildren: Cody, Corey & Makayla Cummings of Childersburg. Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel will direct the services.
