Funeral service for William Dewayne Sims of Vincent will be Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 3PM at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel with Pastor Phillip Burden officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery. Mr. Sims passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Birmingham. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam. He is survived by his Wife: Doris Sims, son: Dusty Sims, Granddaughter: Katie Sims, Sister: Diane Sims Smelley, Brother: David Sims, Step-Son: Ricky Parker, Step-Daughter-in-law: Sherry Miller, Step-Grandchildren: Tyler Parker, Bailey Parker Brown, Caleb Parker and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
