Born and raised in Childersburg, Tony moved to Decatur, Alabama, in the mid 70s to start a family and work at Redstone Arsenal. Later in life he moved back to his hometown of Childersburg, where he worked for Hill Manufacturing, and owned and operated a convenience store. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was an avid Alabama football fan, cheering on the Tide all his life, and loved to grill out, rain or shine. He adored his daughters, and was ever so proud of his grandkids.
He is survived by daughters Michelle Wallace of Decatur, Alabama, and Jessica (Jeff) Wallace Tidwell of Roanoke, Alabama, granddaughter Sandi Taylor, grandson Tanner Tidwell, sister Joyce Wallace Prince, and nieces Wendy Murphy and Zandra (James) Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents William Sandy Wallace and Rhoda Kay Wallace Liles, and sisters Louise Walker and Dorothy Wallace Roberts.
Visitation will be Saturday November 20, from 2pm to 4pm at Curtis and Son Funeral Home in Childersburg. Services will be Sunday November 21 at 2pm at the funeral home also. Burial will be in Green Hill Memoral Gardens in Childersburg.
