Patrick E. Powers

He was born August 31, 1932 in Peoria, Illinois to George and Laura (Westphal) Powers. He married Maureen L. Jorgenson June 18, 1966 in Peoria. She survives along with one son: Jay B. (Blanca) Adkins of Westminster, CO; three daughters: Tonna L. Mitchell of East Peoria, Fawn M. (Rick) Anderson of Kinsburg, CO, Justine M. “Tina” (Robert) Havron of Peoria; two brothers: Bill Powers of Bartonville, and Dick (Jo) Powers of Peoria; one sister: Jean (Tom) Heitter of East Peoria; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Patrick attended Spalding Academy and was of the Catholic faith. He was a Korean Army veteran where he was with the 82nd Airborne. He was a brick mason for 48 years retiring in 1995.

Graveside services will be Saturday September 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Davison-Fulton Anderson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Catholic Charities.
