Jerry was born the eldest son of Edward & Winnifred in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on Saint Patrick’s Day 1937. Jerry spent his early years in Moose Jaw and married Sue November 12, 1955. Their first child, Diane was born there in 1956. His job took them to various locations traveling around BC so finally they decided to move west. Allan arrived while in Nanaimo in 1960, Sandi while in Dawson Creek in 1961 and Mike in Maple Ridge in 1963 where the family had settled until they moved to Chilliwack in 1976. He worked in many towns across Canada, Saudi Arabia & Jamaica as a switchboard installer for Canadian Telephone & Supplies and later BC Tel. He retired in 1993 after 38 years with the company. He always said he was way busier retired than he ever had been while working.
Jerry was involved in many clubs – he was a founding member of the Canadian XK Jaguar Register and the Fraser Valley British Motor Club. He was also a member of the Cheam Association of Motor Sport, Chilliwack Computer Club, Chilliwack Model Railway Club, Atchelitz Threshermen’s Association & Jaguar Clubs of North America.
