Cork was born on December 30, 1933, in Sunnyslope, Alberta. He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob John and Margaret Klassen, his first wife, Anne (Letkeman), and his stepson, Mike.
Cork is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley; daughters Terry (John) and Barb (Dean); sons Allan (Sandi) and Dennis (Teddi); as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In 1947, Cork moved to Chilliwack and helped with the family dairy farm. He later pursued a career as a truck driver and became a well-known figure in the local community—first delivering freight to businesses, and later delivering feed to farms throughout the Fraser Valley.
Cork had a deep passion for sports and was widely recognized for playing and coaching hockey and softball. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and sharing drinks around the campfire. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him as a calm and gentle soul.
A celebration of life may be held at a later date for those who wish to share their fond memories.
