
David Alexander (Sandy) Boyd passed away on Sept 22, 2015 at the age of 62 in Chilliwack, BC after a lengthy illness with his loving wife Laine Wise and his brother Ken at his side. Laine provided ongoing support and ensured his comfort in his final days.
Sandy was born on July 20, 1953 in New Glasgow NS.
He was a graduate of:

University of Granada, Granada, Spain
Sandy was an artist, linguist, musician, and chef.
He was an accomplished artist and also worked as a chef in Toronto, On., New Orleans, La., and Houston Tex. He had also been an Instructor of Gaelic Language at the University of Toronto and the University of the Fraser Valley.
Sandy was extremely proud of his Nova Scotian and Scottish Heritage. He was an accomplished Piper and spoke Gaelic fluently as well as French, German and Spanish.
Sandy was the beloved son of the late Jean and Stan Boyd (Trenton, NS/ Kingsport NS)
He was predeceased by his daughter Abigale Bryant, Halifax; Father of Mairead, Toronto and son Douglas, Texas. Brother of John Boyd (Margaret Ann Fennel) Summerstown, On/ Naples Fl; Ken Boyd (Mary Ann McKinnon) Wolfville, NS; Uncle of Robert Boyd London, England; Andrea Boyd McNally, Montreal and Megan Boyd, Toronto.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial Donations may be made to any branch of The Canadian Diabetes Association.
Sandy lived his life on his own terms.
