Diana Louise Lintott was born in Stranraer, Saskatchewan on May 17th, 1942, and raised by her parents, Christina and David Noble. She grew up in Kindersley, where she met her husband, Paul, on the drive home from a church youth campfire. Most of their married life was spent in Alberta, but in 2014, they moved to Chilliwack, BC. Diana said she’d never live on the west side of the mountains until she visited what would be their retirement community.
Together, Diana and Paul raised four wonderful children: their eldest, Jim, their daughter, Angela, and their younger boys, Bill and Rob. Their children were so lucky to always have their mom there for them, from having fresh baking for them after school when they were kids to sitting down for a weekly phone call. Diana was known for her loving and caring nature, not just towards family but to anyone who crossed her path. She had many friendships throughout her life, both at home and through her hobby groups online.
In her church, she was a beautiful and talented pianist, able to play every note right off the top of her head. As someone who was adopted from birth, Diana spent many years searching for her birth parents, Lillian Todd and Henry Speers. This journey also led her to her brother, Howard Speers. Diana’s heart was so big, it had room for many foster children that she cared for over the years. In the 1990s, Diana and Paul were heavily involved in Parent Finders, an organization dedicated to reuniting adopted children with their birth families. Diana personally helped with over 500 reunions over the years. Since loving was what she did best, she knew that family was family regardless of blood.
Diana’s memory is carried on through her husband of 61 years, Paul, and their children and grandchildren.
