Koppe, Horst Dieter passed away on July 27th, 2010 in Chilliwack, BC at the age of 81. He is survived by his loving wife Siri, sons Peter (Maxine), and Marco, granddaughters Jessica (James), Aimee (Logan), and Naomi (Scott) and great grandchildren Cody, Thea, and Clare.
Dieter grew up in Caputh, Germany and attended military school in Potsdam before immigrating to Canada at the age of 23, eventually settling in Prince George, where he spent many years working for the Ministry of Forests. He moved to Chilliwack in 1995.
A private service will be held on Wednesday, August 4th at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Chilliwack. An Open House in celebration of Dieter’s life will begin at 400pm on Wednesday, August 4th, 4557 McFaul Road. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
A Memorial Service will be held in Prince George at a later date.
