He was born in Chilliwack, B.C., on August 4th, 1970. Survived by father, Gordon Loewen (Robyn), mother Robie Hambly (Rick), his wife Carrie Jackson-Loewen, his two sons Kristian Loewen (Kayla) and Kaleb Loewen (Kirsten), granddaughter Brynlee Loewen, and his two stepchildren Micaela Jackson and Riley Smith. He is also survived by three siblings Derek Loewen (Kyle), Dana Emmons (Gord), and Darcy Loewen, and six nephews and nieces.
Don was a successful businessman who started Loewen Paving with his father and then managed it into a prosperous business. He had also recently started GYB, a flagging company, which is quickly becoming a thriving business.
His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his wife, children, and family; hunting, fishing, and travelling the world making lasting memories for those he left behind. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend and was well respected within the community of his peers.
A celebration of life for Don will be held Sunday, October 16th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Yarrow Community Hall, 4670 Community Street, Chilliwack B.C.
