Elizabeth “Betty” Wiebe Knowles passed away on 29 January 2022, at Chilliwack, BC at 80 years of age. She was born 7 December 1941 at Steinbach, MB. Betty is survived by Wayne, her husband, and her children, Michelle and Allen (Christy). She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Justina Wiebe, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Betty was a devoted wife and a loving mother, and her kindness was clear to all who knew her. She had dedicated her life to serving God early in her life, and she showed that in all she did, whether working at various jobs, including Fraserway RV Centre in Abbotsford, or in volunteering at Chilliwack Hospital, MCC, or at Chilliwack Alliance Church.
She was quick to laugh and to share a smile and warmth with others, and she was well liked by all who knew her. A lifelong love of reading meant that Betty always had a book on the go, and she cherished her devotional times each morning.
The family wishes to send heartfelt thanks to the staff at the ER and 5 North of Chilliwack General Hospital for all the gentle care that they gave Betty during the last days of her life.
A Memorial Service will be held on 2022 from Chilliwack Alliance Church, Chilliwack, BC.
