

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an amazing lady, Eva Carole Guilderson. Eva passed away on Wednesday August 2, 2023 at Cascade Hospice Chilliwack after bravely fighting several bouts of cancer. She was born September 26th 1941 in Chilliwack BC.
Eva is survived by and will be immensely missed by husband Robert Guilderson, son Troy Guilderson (Wenona), grandsons Taylor and Hayden Guilderson (Katelyn), sister Glenda Campbell, niece Jody Campbell and nephew Kylie Campbell and their families.
She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Clara Campbell, and Brothers Kerry and Earl Campbell.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 10th at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church on Mary St in Chilliwack, followed by a celebration of life and refreshments at Tzeachten Community Hall at 1:00pm.
Eva was born and raised in Chilliwack, and a proud member of Tzeachten First Nation. She attended Vancouver Vocational Nursing school at age 18 in 1959. Eva married Robert Guilderson, a member of the Canadian Armed Forces in 1961 and they were posted to Halifax, Nova Scotia. There, they had their only son, Troy Guilderson.
She completed 25 years in the health care system as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). After retirement, she became a full-time dedicated grandmother to Taylor and Hayden.
Eva had many hobbies throughout her life, including, bowling, crafting, aerobics, gardening, and travelling. Later in life, she took great pride in being a Tzeachten Elder and volunteering her time with various committees and elders programs.
She will be remembered by family and friends for her cheerful, happy, and positive spirit.
