Frances Elizabeth Crawford, 87, of Chilliwack, British Columbia, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025. She was born on July 25, 1937, in Kitchener, Ontario. Frances began her career as a draftsman and married her husband Jim, in 1961.
They had two children, Lisa and James, in Trenton before moving to Calgary in 1963, where they welcomed two more children, Brent and Heidi. Frances dedicated herself to her family, ensuring her children received the love and support they needed.
She was also a natural writer, enjoying writing editorials for the local newspaper, a hobby she shared with her father. After Jim's passing in 1997, Frances found companionship with Larry, whom she met through St. Mary’s Parish, until his death in 2017.
Frances love for travel took her to many wonderful destinations, and she cherished each new experience. Above all, she cherished her family. She is survived by her daughters Lisa (Lyle) and Heidi (Dave), son James (Eden), grandchildren Michael (Laurie), Stephen (Flannery), Cassidy, Grant (Debbie), and great-grandchildren Findley, Declan, Caitlyn, Bradley, Lennan, Teagan, Joden, and Jory. She also leaves behind her brother Bob, sister June, sister-in-law Peggy, and many nieces.
She was predeceased by her husband Jim, fiancé Larry, son Brent, daughter-in-law Marj, and her parents Margaret and Orville McKay. Frances will be remembered for her spirit, kindness, and unwavering faith.
