Gail Catherine Cross

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gail Cross, 82, of Chilliwack, British Columbia. Gail was born on November 13, 1941, in Brantford, Ontario and sadly departed from this world on October 9th, 2024.

Gail did not attend further schooling. Gail married at 16 to husband Burton Edward Cross and created a beautiful family by having 3 children, Debra Halladay, Catherine Currie, and Steven Cross.

Gail would go on and build a career at sears. She retired from customer service Rep after 28 years of service.

Gail loved spending time with her family, she liked going fishing, going for walks, and baking goodies for her friends and family. Gail loved all animals but truly admired dogs, she enjoyed reading her bible, helping others, and helping the church

Gail is survived by her daughter Debbie Halladay, her son Steven Cross (Rose), and her grandkids Cylena (Jeff), Denica, Dylan (Kassidy), and Dustin. Great grandchildren Blake (Dariene) Abbie, Oliver, Sawyer, sisters and brothers.

Gail is predeceased by her husband Burt Cross, eldest daughter Catherine Currie, son in law Art Currie and her parents Norma Oswald and Charles Schertzberg.

Gail lived a life filled with love, laughter, compassion, faith, and touching the lives of all who knew her.

Gail will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering strength. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of life for Gail will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Henderson's Funeral Home & Crematorium, 45901 Victoria Ave, Chilliwack, BC V2P2S9.
