Several years ago when George and Agie had their beautiful Motor Home, Ron and I joined them on a trip to the North Country. Just as we arrived in Inuvik, one of the tires picked up a nail and was flat as a pancake. It was 2:30 a.m. and bright as day when George replaced the tire with such confidence you just knew he had worked for Paul's Tire Shop in his youth.
A funny story on that trip; George was driving and had his window wide open enjoying the breeze when a wasp flew in, landed on George's back and slid down into the gap in his belt. Well, we knew George was a good dancer but the moves he made ended with more than one sting. Lots of good memories. We will certainly miss him.

When I think of George, I recall the last time I saw him. He came out of ‘retirement’ to play his beloved trumpet at Oralie’s wedding - and he was full of smiles and loving it all ( as we all did!).

The world would be a better place if we had many more George Pictons. Kind man, proud father, loving husband, generous brother-in-law, hard working...I could go on and on.

It was my privilege and pleasure to know him.

Thoughts and prayers are with Aggie, Leslie, Avis and everyone who loved him.
