

Jim was born in Vancouver on May. 31, 1950.
Jim spent 16 active years in the Canadian armed forces, working his way up to Master Corporal of the Remi Royal Canadian Mechanical Engineers.
When Jim left the armed forces, he spent his career as a mechanical engineer, starting out with IMW. He worked locally, as well as travelling all over the world.
In 1996, Jim started a new and final chapter in his career with Wiseworth Canada. He retired after 27 years of dedication to their company.
Jim's favorite story from his work days, was how he built and maintained the compressors up at Nestle water in Hope BC.
Before retirement, Jim used to go on an annual 2 week motorcycle trip with his club, The olde Spokes.
Jim (Jimmy) spent his retirement mingling with his friends at Eagle Wind RV Park, as well as a lot of time with his wife and grandkids. Jim enjoyed teaching his grandson Chase how to build motors, and how they worked from the inside.
He loved to jokingly tell his granddaughter Courtney, "Get off my lawn" when she would walk on it.
One of the highlights of Jim's week, was spending every Wednesday with his youngest son Tyler at the gun range.
Jim is predeceased by his parents, Gladys and Fredrick.
Jim is survived by his wife Coral Caddick née Chapman of 42 years. His sisters Sheila (Jim), Joyce (Fred) and Hazel (Oscar). He is also survived by his children Jason Caddick, Jeff Caddick (Leanne), Anthony Caddick, Jeremy Caddick, Tyler Caddick (Jenny), Ian Simson, Kyle Simson, and Marina Garmon (Carolyn). James is also survived by his many grandchildren Andrew, Courtney, Blake, Riley, Jayden, Liam, Lindsay, Marek, Chase, TJ, Grace, Jessy, Shoshanna and Carson.
The family would like to thank Dr. John Hamilton, and the nursing staff at CGH for the care of Jim in his final days.
