In his life he wore many hats touching people as he worked, learned and earned his way through life.
In the beginning of Jims varied work life, he owned a pizzeria in Edmonton, owned a newspaper in Thompson Manitoba, and in the winter, he raced snow mobiles. For a while he was a sales rep at CKO radio in Edmonton.
He worked with his brother Terry in Kelly’s stereo Mart in Edmonton and Healy Ford as well. From stereos and speakers, he went on to sell automobiles and owned his own car retail outlet in Calgary.
His interest in cars prompted him to become an auto mechanic and later in life he took to the skies as certified commercial Pilot.
Jim loved the water and had many sail boating ventures, some of them dangerous, leaving memories of fun and fear in his companions.
In his later years he became a certified laser technician and teacher, travelling BC and Alberta servicing clients.
Jim had many gifts and talents, was kind, intelligent and intuitive. In 1991 he gave his younger brother a kidney and saved his life.
Jim leaves behind two brothers, Terry and Tobin, two sisters Lynda and Pat. Daughters Thea and Kristina. Nephews Ben, Bowen and Curtis. A nieces Bronte, Michelle, and Keltie and sister-in-law Cindy.
Jim’s best friend and wife Annette Jardine spent much of their time enjoying Punkin their pooch in the lovely garden patio where they grew beautiful flowers and delicious tomatoes.
We would like to thank the professionalism of the medical staff, the Abbotsford hospital for treating Jim with special attention and care. Jim's final days were spent at the Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack where he was visited by his family and friends. Jim passed away peacefully on June 10,2025 at 9:35 pm.
Rest in Peace.
