

It is with great sorrow that we share the peaceful passing of Norm at Eden Care Centre in Chilliwack on Friday morning. Norm was the only child born to Jessie and Frank McClellan of Vancouver. Norm joined and served in the RCAF during WWll. Following the war, he started work at the City Hall of Vancouver as an inspector, rising to become the Variance officer in the department. Norm met Dorothy Oliver (Babe) at the City Hall and they were married on May 8, 1948. Norm was predeceased by his wife in July 2010 and by twin daughters who died at birth. He is survived by three children, Jeffrey McClellan (Diane), Shelley Anderson and Sandra Kerr (James). He has three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Norm was an active member of the British Columbia Beefeater Band executive and chaperoned with Babe several tours to Europe and throughout North America. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please remember Norm by donating to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. or to the B.C.
