Jim passed away peacefully at home in Chilliwack surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was born in Dundonald, Fife, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1956 to play in the Powell River Pipe Band, where he met his wife and raised his family. Jim & Maxine retired to Chilliwack in 1996.
Jim leaves behind his wife of 58 years Maxine; son Sean (Denise); daughter Rosemary (Mohamed); grandchildren Chad (Amy), Crystal (Robert), Yasmine, Emily, Alexis and 6 great-grandsons. He also leaves behind his sister Ruth & many other family members in Scotland & Canada. Jim made many friends along his journeys and remembered everyone.He is predeceased by his son Ronnie (1986) and sister Sheila (2020).
Jim will always be remembered by family and friends as "Piper Jim".
In lieu of flowers the family encouraged donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
