Will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Denise, four sons Michel (Yumi), Ghislain (Melissa), Allan (Gwyn), and Michael (Lindsay). Six siblings Marcelle (Bertrand), Rita (Arnold), Rachel (Julien), Clermont (Simone), France (Rolland), and Daniel (Maryline) as well as his eight grandchildren Shaun, Mina, Ryu, Tyrone, Taia, Jack, Jasmine, and Ethan.
Predeceased by parents Mederic and Marie-Paule and brother Gilles.
John was born in Saint-Pamphile, Quebec on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1939, the eldest of eight children. He moved to Montreal in 1962 and took on a variety of positions, including a stint as a taxi driver. He started working as a machinist for a pulley company in 1964 when his eye was caught by the owner's daughter, Denise Leclerc. They were married the following August. They went on to have two boys before moving to Remac, BC in 1974 to work for a mining company. They returned to Quebec a year later, but were drawn back to BC in 1976, when they moved to Beaverdell. They completed their family with the addition of Allan and Michael in 1980.
An avid outdoorsman, John loved to be in the bush, hunting and fishing to his heart's content. He also loved to travel, especially anywhere by car. He was also known as a family man and for his sense of humour, coupled with a hearty laugh.
Later in life, he loved the company of his grandchildren and friends at the Seniors' Centre in Chilliwack.

Jean-Marie est né à St Pamphile Québec le 9 Avril 1939 un dimanche de Pâque. L'aîné d’une famille de huit enfants. Il a déménagé à Montréal en 1962 et a pris une variété de positions that inclus un conducteur de taxi. Il a commencé un travail de machiniste pour une compagnie de poulies en 1964 ou il a eu le coup de foudre pour la fille du propriétaire, Denise Leclerc. Ils se sont mariés en Août en 1965. Ils ont eu deux garçons avant de déménager à Remac, BC en 1974 pour travaille pour une compagnie minière. Revenu au Québec un an plus tard mais déménage en Colombie Britannique en 1976 pour s'établir a Beaverdell et complète sa famille avec l'addition de Allan & Michael en 1980.
Jean-Marie adorait la vie de travailleur en plein air, aimait la chasse et la pêche Il aimait voyager, spécialement des voyages en auto. Il était reconnu pour être un homme de famille avec un gros sens d'humeur et un rire infectieux.
Plus tard dans la vie il adorait la compagnie de ses petits enfants et ses amis au centre de loisir a Chilliwack.
