It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeff. He lost his very short but valiant battle with pancreatic cancer at age 61.
He was born and raised in Chilliwack, B.C. and was predeceased by his parents Ken and Marlene.
He leaves behind his partner in life, Sandy Parkin, her children Kristen (Mike), Tony (Courtney) and 4 grandchildren whom he absolutely adored: Aurora, Liam, Cooper, and Ayson. He also leaves behind his loving sister Kristine (Peter) and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jeff loved life and lived to its fullest! Made friends wherever he went, he had a gift of the gab. He loved travel, loved all sports, was a huge Boston Bruins and Red Sox fan, he loved classic music of all shows, drag races, Nascar, Golfing, and sunny day cruises in the '57. He loved music of all kinds, from Blues to good 'ole Roll n Roll, going to concerts, and hanging with his buddies reliving their childhood shenanigans. He loved home cooking, homemade cookies, and spicy food.
Jeff was a loyal and well respected employee of Save-On-Foods for 40 years. He worked his way up from grocery clerk to manager and mentored many young people throughout his career.
He was the most amazing, loving, caring, and giving man. His integrity and kindness were beyond compare. He will be so greatly missed by Sandy, family, and so many friends! Words cannot express the sorrow, loss, emptiness we all feel. Taken too soon and way too quick!
Also Sandy would like to thank the doctors and amazing nurses in the ICU at Chilliwack Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion during his brief stay.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the B.C. Cancer Society in his name.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday October 15th, 2023 at 2:00pm at Evergreen Hall. 9291 Corbould Street, Chilliwack.
