John Prinse

December 5, 1957January 18, 2020

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of John Prinse on January 18, 2020.

He was born December 5th 1957, raised in Chilliwack BC. After graduating from Chilliwack Senior in 1975, John went up North to work for a few years. In 1983 he married Glenda and later had five children together, Melissa (Kevin), Jason (Danielle), Kristin, Amy, and Aaron. John also leaves behind his Mom (Nellie), and 4 siblings. He was predeceased by his Dad (Adrian).

He spent his years dairy farming and working in the field. He enjoyed being his kids “personal chauffeur” and accompanying them on school camping trips. John loved being around a positive environment where he could dance, talk to his buddies, and socialize with anyone he met. He always had words of wisdom to share with everyone, as well as his cheesy dad jokes to lighten the mood.

Join us in remembrance and celebration on Saturday, February 1st, 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, with a reception following.

Chris & I are so sorry to read about John’s passing. John was a super supporter of his children at East Chilliwack Elementary. John always had a smile and a friendly comment each day he came to pick up his children. The East Chilliwack community has lost a dear friend. Condolences to the Prinse family!

Dear family,

I’m very sorry for the loss of John. I remember him as a very lively, friendly social person. Always kind, supportive and helpfull. We met in 1980 and 1991 in Canada and once or twice in Holland when he visited us. He made impression with his joyful and cheerful personality. I ‘m glad to remember him this way.

I wish my dear family the strength to live with this big loss. And may John rest in peace.

With love, Ineke
