Kathleen May Carleton

Kathleen is lovingly remembered by her son, Gordon, her daughter, Patricia (Moe) Conway, her sister, Mavis Richardson, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, family and friends.

Kathleen is predeceased by William (Pat) Carleton.

Kathleen was the daughter of Fred and Dora Vigor and was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Kay met her husband Pat, and married in 1941. While raising her family, Kay lived in various locations in the lower mainland. In 1971 Kay and Pat retired to their summer home in Whistler. Kay became Whistler's First Lady while supporting Pat as Whistler's first mayor.

On leaving Whistler in 1991, Kay and Pat moved to Chilliwack and enjoyed many years of travelling in their motorhome. At the age of 80, Kay discovered her hidden talents of quilting and painting with watercolors. Kay made many beautiful memories for her family and friends to enjoy. Kay also enjoyed her home and garden until 2019.

The family gives special thanks for the care and compassion Kay received in her later years at The Oxford Senior Living & Care Home in Abbotsford.

Kay is sincerely missed and fondly remembered by friends and family.
