Kay Frances Toop (nee Muirhead) was born in Chilliwack, B.C. on December 30, 1933.
A devoted, loving wife to Allan Toop for over 74 years, she helped run their dairy farm in Greendale, while keeping a wonderful home for her husband and two sons, Richard (Patricia) and David. She enjoyed days outside in her garden and spending time at the family pool or the cabin at Cultus Lake with her grandchildren Angela (David), Devan (Alison), and Sarah. In her later years, Kay battled dementia among other ailments, but still spent time learning of the accomplishments of her great-grandchildren May, Yale, Olive, Emmett, and Anna. She passed peacefully at Eden Care Center on November 11, 2025. She fought valiantly, and though she will be greatly missed, we are happy she is free of pain. She leaves behind her sister Audrey Ady in Edmonton, Alberta, but now joins those who predeceased her: parents Pat and Rose Muirhead, son David, and daughter-in-law Jackie.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
