Leonard Kunert

Leonard Kunert of Chilliwack, BC passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on May 13, 2026 at the age of 101. He was born in Marianowka, Poland on June 19, 1924. Leonard is survived by his four daughters Elvira (Dale) Trelenberg, Elaine (Helmut) Bucholtz, Louise Munro, Pearl (Lyle) Mertke, and his two sons Leonard (Karin) Kunert and Helmut (Janet) Kunert, as well as 15 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Eileen Kunert, his parents Heinrich and Karolina Kunert, and his two brothers Nicklaus Kunert and Heinrich Kunert.

A family Celebration of Life service was held at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Chilliwack, BC on May 23, 2026 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Reinhold Herms officiating
