We are sad to let you know that our dad, Leslie MacBride, passed away July 8, 2020 in his 91st year.

His health had been sliding downhill since Mom died. Liz had been the love of his life for 62 years. Dad was born in Ottawa, moving to Quebec City while his father served in WWII. After working at Wallack's Art Gallery he joined the Army where he proudly served in the Royal Canadian Engineers for 37 years, retiring as CWO. He served in Korea and Egypt. His specialties were demolition and bridges, later transferring to Northern airfields. After retiring in Chilliwack he turned his talents to roses ( Horticultural Club ), wine making ( Zymurgy ), stained glass and Branch 4 Legion.

He is predeceased by his brother Carl, son James Karl and wife Liz ( Elizabeth ).

He is survived by daughters Sandra and Dr. Tracey Melidy ( Anthony ), grandchildren Connie and Andrew. His sister Ruth ( Roger Moreau ) and daughter-in-law Trudy. Nieces and nephews will miss their Uncle Mac.

Thanks to the Birchwood and 2nd floor Bradley Center.

Interment will be at the Legion Cemetery on Little Mountain. A Memorial Service may take place once Covid 19 allows it.

We are sorry for the loss of your father and grandfather.
I remember him welcoming me into your home, welcoming the pipe band into the legion and being a friendly neighbour.
Still waters run deep.
XO Angie and Dan
