Linda Dorene Thompson

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Linda Dorene Thompson (VanderHoek) on June 13th, 2025. Linda was born in Chilliwack and lived most of her life in Agassiz. Linda will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her children Braeden Thompson (Jaedyn Dionne), Hannah Thompson (Alex Bruma). Her mother Tina VanderHoek, siblings Leona (Charles) Wynia, Ken VanderHoek, Leo VanderHoek, Grace (Kris) Rodin. As well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Linda is predeceased by her husband Geoff Thompson, father Bert Vanderhoek, and nephew Tyler Vanderhoek.

The lives of her loved ones will never be the same, and all of our memories will be cherished. Linda's passion for hockey and football were like no other. She proudly flew the Canucks flag all year round, and had more Seattle Seahawks swag than any other fan. Linda and her late husband Geoff also shared a passion for Nascar racing, one of their favorite things to watch together. She adored her little dogs, Mason and Rico, who gave her many years of great joy. Linda cherished her children, her pride and joy. Nothing gave her more pleasure but to "do" for them. Life was not always easy for Linda, especially after the passing of her husband. but she persevered and we could not be more proud of her for the life she created for her, and her children. Even though our hearts are broken we are comforted in the

knowledge of her words "I want to see Jesus". We are comforted through Him and in her heavenly peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday June 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack, BC V2P1B5.
