Sending so much love and light to Lisa’s friends and family. 💛 she was such a wonderful, caring and down to earth woman -  she will be missed but not forgotten 💛

I’m no longer a blonde anymore. I transitioned to black hair after some time. I was there today at the Memorial. I wish I had some pictures to share of Lisa but unfortunately I do not. I was lucky enough to meet her and have her do my brows for a decade. Anyone who got brows done by Lisa was in good hands!

I was playing around with a snap chat filter that gave me better eyebrows and I posted the picture on Facebook. That caught people attention and that’s when Aunty Carol Vandenbrink told me Greg’s partner did microblading. I watched Lisa’s social media page for 2 years before I could get my eyebrows done. First I was pregnant and next I was breastfeeding. When the day finally arrived that I could get my eyebrows done I was so excited. Lisa was very warm and friendly and welcoming. She was easy to talk to. We chatted up a storm and I felt well cared for. Each time I went to Lisa I looked forward to being in her company and enjoying conversation with her. She always did an amazing job on my eyebrows. It really transformed my face and made me feel so much more confident and beautiful. Lisa really knew her craft! When I had watched her page in the two years before I met her, I also watched some other micro blading pages and I felt like Lisa was better than everyone else. We stayed connected on social media, and I even photographed some gems for her one time. I was sad to learn of her passing, and I feel very deeply for all of her family. It’s a terrible thing to lose someone so young.

I am devastated to hear of your passing. You were such a beautiful person who saw the beauty in everything. You will be dearly missed. I will cherish our memories of camping, loon lake, and bonding over dogs and music.

Lieve  Mary Jon en Rob wat kan ik nou zeggen of schrijven om jullie te troosten. Er zijn geen woorden voor dit vreselijke verdriet. Het kan en het mag niet dat ouders afscheid moeten nemen van hun dochter. Het moest verboden worden maar toch gebeurt het. Hoe akelig is het dat Lilian en ik niet bij je zijn. Wij hopen dat je veel mensen om je heen hebt die jullie kunnen steunen.  Dinsdag een loodzware dag voor jullie allemaal. Ik steek een kaarsje op en kijk naar de mooie foto van jullie prachtige oudste dochter. Veel liefs en sterkte vanuit Nederland. 💔🫶💋

Lisa, I’ll always remember you as the life of the party. Everyone’s best friend, accepting of all — as they were. Loyal, passionate and fierce, a true Leo. A life path number 7, the truth seeker, gaining knowledge and understanding of this world every step of the way. You were the DJ of life, always creating the perfect playlist for the road trip or selecting a song from the juke box that made the entire pub want to get up and dance. And dance you could, the rhythm flowed through you! When we were 12, you used to bring your D cell battery powered boombox to the outdoor basketball court to make playing more fun, and it was! You could master any skill, from shooting hoops, to jewelry making, doing brows and shooting pool. I’ve still yet to see a girl pocket balls across the length of the billiard table with such a smooth stroke to the centre of the pocket. Whether a spontaneous adventure or a well planned excursion, no one did it better than you, with printed map quest directions for each stop, the journey was just as much fun as the destination. You were one with nature, loving the beauty of the outdoors and all of god’s creatures, especially the doggo’s, of course! You had an enormous heart and shared selflessly with those around you, wanting everyone to have and feel equal, never keeping score. You cared deeply about your family and closest friends and I was lucky enough to be one of those who got to experience the most intense love that ever existed. There were tumultuous times, many, but now that you’re gone all I can remember are the good times, the love we shared and all the fun we had growing up together. It’s my belief we will see each other again, and when we do, I know we will both laugh at ourselves and shake our heads at how wound up we got over frivolous matters. Keep the beers cold, the cues chalked and the juke box ready — till we see each other again, my friend.
