Margaret Julia Fenwick

April 4, 1926 - June 27, 2023

97 years young

Margaret was born on April 4, 1926 in Reward, Saskatchewan. She grew up on the family farm.

Margaret is lovingly remembered by Don (Mary Lynn), Shirley, Barb (Jeff), Grandchildren: Phil (Danielle), Charlene (Steve), Chantelle (Tanner), Steven, Mark (Heather), Mike (Meghan), Jonathan, Jordan (Kristianna), Great Grandchildren: Carly, Anna, Ellie, Violet, Kiera, Remy, Oakley, Graysen, and Luxyn, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Margaret is predeceased by her son Terry, parents, Zacharius and Francisca, brothers Adam, Joe Fred, Peter, Zacharius and sisters Mary, Francis, Wally, Rose and Barbara Pious.

In the beginning Margaret's life was not an easy one. She met and married Ken LeMay and had 2 sons Terrance and Donald and had moved to Sardis, BC. Ken went off to the Korean War and when he returned he was never the same. At that time there was no name for PTSD or help available. She raised her sons on her own until she met Bill Fenwick and married and had 2 girls Shirley and Barbara.

As life went on she managed to survive 2 bouts of cancer. She divorced Bill and continued to survive life's hardships. She moved to Chilliwack next to the hospital in a condo all by herself and lived there for 30 years.

All of life's lessons made her a remarkable woman. She blossomed and became her own woman. She made many new friendships from young and old, she was very active in the community volunteering, Line Dancing, Entertaining her family and friends was a big one, she loved being with family she loved to make her dinners, she also loved having a Lucky Lager at 4 o'clock.

She had a terrific sense of humor and never missed a beat. You just couldn't pull the wool over her eyes. She wanted to be in control of her life to the very end. No nursing home for her!

Thankfully she got her wish and passed doing it her way.
