Margaret Rose Thomson

Margaret was born on December 22, 1943 at VGH to Magdalene and Alvin (Mac) McGuire. Growing up, Maggie spent many happy holidays with her family at her Aunt's Tatchick Lake Resort in Vanderhoof, BC. Maggie worked for many years as a waitress and then later in life for Statistics Canada. Along with family, fishing and camping, Maggie's passions included playing Bingo, Yahtzee and cards as well as watching the Vancouver Canucks and BC Lions.

Maggie is lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Bud and their children Holly (Rob) and Sandra, grandchildren Chelann, Hayley, Kendra (Shadoe) and Sheridan, great granddaughter Scarlett and brothers Pat (Sharie), John (Beryl), Bill (Rita), Alan (Jackie), Wayne (Jana), sister-in-law Sandra (Bob), Aunt Kay and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She was predeceased by her father Alvin Daniel McGuire and her mother Magdalene May McGuire.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Chilliwack Masonic Hall, 45905 Hocking Avenue, Chilliwack. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Margaret's name to the Masonic Cancer Car Society.
